Our History
In 1983, Denny and Randi Johnson partnered together in acquiring and combining Brown Oil and Brueswitz Oil. Diesel fuel, gasoline, and home heating oil were staples until the early 90's. Heating oil was slowly on its way out as a home heating fuel and quickly being replaced by propane and the decision to add propane to its line up was made. The timing couldn't have been better and propane helped now Johnson Oil and LP Co to thrive. Retirement and being young enough to enjoy it were always important to the Johnson's but their legacy of Johnson Oil and Lp Co. to remain locally owned and part of the community was important as well.
In 2014 Jim Koenigs and Synergy Partners, in sharing the visions of the past that built the Johnson's success as well as a vision for the future took the reins. Eight great years later we continue to value our customers as neighbors that know that service and customer service doesn't always comes at the cheapest price but its value is immeasurable. One thing that hasn't changed in almost 40 years is Johnson Oil has always and will continue to strive to be local and equitable to the community.
